We recently reported that 0.12.0 and Windows 10 Edition would be released on July 29th, they same day the Windows 10 operating system is going to be available. This date was shared by the lead MCPE developer Tommaso Checci in a video at Minecon.
Obviously, that date is getting much closer, and no beta program has been announced yet. Usually the beta program is available for a few weeks before the release date. Now, Tommaso has reevaluated the release date.
So, we actually wanted to release MCPE on the 29th, but it would have no Enchanting, Music and Controller support… so August, hopefully 🙂

Now, we’ll be seeing the update in August. Otherwise, as Tommaso says, we wouldn’t have enchanting, controller support, or music- features we all want.
Unlike most problems with MCPE, this time we don’t #BlameShoghi.
You should blame @_tomcc for this >:D
